RHS Bench in the Making

This April The Wildlife Trust of South and West Wales will be attending The Royal Horticultural Society Flower Show in Cardiff again.

Last year our show garden was marine themed, highlighting relevant marine wildlife issues. This year, to coincide with our recent woodland appeals, our show garden will be woodland themed.

The show will take place in Bute Park, Cardiff from Friday 7th April until Sunday 9th April. The event is open to members of the public and tickets can be purchased via the RHS website.

We're very excited about this years RHS and we have received an enormous amount of support when planning our show garden. This year the garden will consist of a fibreglass tree, courtesy of The Woodland Trust, a willow owl by Out to Learn Willow, a handmade, one of a kind bench made from locally sourced wood (This bench will be available for purchasing - contact Rebecca for more information) and a variety of woodland plants and animal ornaments, courtesy of Pugh's Garden Centre in Radyr.

A big thank you as well to Chandler KBS for sponsoring part of our show garden and to Margaret and Jon Samuel who have been growing plants for us to use. We would also like to thank our volunteers and staff who have thrown themselves into this project and we couldn't have done it without them!

We will also be taking our new 360 degree, virtual reality experiences: Dive with a Dolphin and Fly like a Kingfisher!

We're very excited about this years show and we will be on site, starting to build the garden, from Wednesday (29th March). We hope to see you at the show!
