The Wildlife Trust of South and West Wales is seeking passionate individuals to join its Board of Trustees. Help shape the way we work, protect wildlife, and engage communities. No prior experience required, just a commitment to the charity and to nature in South and West Wales. Application deadline is Monday 24th August 2026

This year the Board has three vacancies. We are looking for people who have a significant commitment to the aims of our Trust and our natural environment in South and West Wales. 

We are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive Board that reflects the membership and communities in our area. If you are over 18 and would like to use your skills and experience at Board governance level to help us help wildlife, then we would love to hear from you. 

Previous Board or Trustee experience is not necessary and we welcome applications from all backgrounds. We would particularly welcome applicants who have experience and/or skills in one or more of the following areas, but this in not essential to apply: 

  • Digital technology/transformation
  • Nature Conservation Farming
  • Welsh Language
  • Human resources or people management

The commitment: 

  • attending Board meetings (online). The Board holds about 8 meetings a year.
  • volunteering some spare time to help develop the Trust’s work
  • occasionally attending other meetings or events
