Meet Madi, our new Digital Fundraising & Communications Officer!

Madi joined the team this month and is looking forward to experiencing everything The Wildlife Trust of South and West Wales has to offer.

Here's what Madi had to say:

Hi, I’m Madi and I’m super excited to be joining the WILD family at the Wildlife Trusts of South and West Wales as their new Digital Fundraising and Communications Officer!

Having grown up along the Gower Peninsula (AONB) I’ve been fortunate to spend most of my time exploring its diverse array of habitats and wildlife and from a young age, I’ve been an advocate for Welsh doorstep nature and local exploration. As my fascination with the natural world grew, so did my drive to travel and learn as much as a could about the intricate relationships and details of it.

This led me onto studying at University in Cornwall in marine photography and natural history and then onto a Master of Science in evolutionary and behavioural ecology. Since then, I’ve worked directly in research, science communication, wildlife filmmaking and practical conservation and I love nothing more than collaborative work that champions change for nature.

As a marine photographer, MSc behavioural ecologist and conservationist whose worked on the ground with grassroot projects, I am thrilled to bring my expertise to contribute to Digital Fundraising and Communications at WTSWW and connect with you all who are fighting for a #WilderFuture.
I am looking forward to getting stuck in and exploring the wonderfully diverse nature reserves of WTSWW and of course, taking you all on that journey with me!
