Meet Carys, our new Communications and Fundraising Officer!

Carys joined the team at the beginning of March and is looking forward to experiencing everything The Wildlife Trust of South and West Wales has to offer.

Here's what Carys had to say:

Hi, I’m Carys the new Communications and Fundraising Officer here at the Wildlife Trust of South and West Wales! I am really excited to be a part of the WILD team at WTSWW.

I have been interested in wildlife and nature from a young age having grown up on the foot of the Brecon Beacons. As a child I could often be found outside investigating what lies beneath rocks and in the rivers!  My interest in animals and nature led me to my previous role as Rehoming Coordinator for the RSPCA, previous to which I worked in a marketing team at a local university. My role within the RSPCA developed my knowledge and enthusiasm for wildlife and allowed me to home in on what really makes me tick. This led me to the Wildlife Trust of South and West Wales.

I am looking forward to visiting the wonderful nature reserves of WTSWW and promoting them to the public. I am particularly excited to be involved in the RHS Garden Show this year!

I can’t wait to see what the future holds for me at WTSWW!
