About the event

Discover the different bird songs with enthusiast Mark Spirito on a guided walk around Ystrad Fawr Nature Reserve.  

Approximately 2 mile walk on mostly level path but some parts may be muddy.  Wear suitable clothing for the forecast.  Waterproofs and walking boots or wellies advised.  Bring binoculars if you have them. Finish time is approximate.

The first hour (the best time for birdsong) will be on accessible tarmac paths along the cycle track, suitable for wheelchairs and strollers. After that we will be heading into the reserve on rougher terrain. Please contact Pauline on 07957 292235, p.hill@welshwildife.org for more information.

Know before you go

Dogs

No dogs permitted

The activity is not suitable for dogs and could disturb the birdsong.

Mobility

The first hour will be along the tarmac cycle track suitable for wheelchairs and children's strollers.  This is the best time for the bird song.

However the second hour will be entering the rest of the reserve where the tracks are uneven and often muddy.

Bring suitable clothing for the weather forecast also footwear for mud.

Bring binoculars and camera if you have them.
