Over the winter months the Welsh Wildlife Centre has been a hive of activity. In readiness for a new season the staff and volunteers have been hammering, gluing, painting, sawing and lifting.
The results have been a brand new look shop and information centre, Jo, Llinos and their team of volunteers have done an incredible job of making the place look fantastic.
On the first day of opening, which was April Fool's Day - and there were a few jokes about that, we were busy with lots of families coming to enjoy the face painting and fun activities for children.
The cafe was also busy, serving fabulous local food to a wide range of people, from families looking for a great day out through to keen wildlife enthusiasts wanting that special wildlife experience.
Our pole barn is almost complete, adding a stunning new addtion to this iconic centre. The pole barn has been the subject of much enthusiastic scrutiny by local people who have thoroughly enjoyed watching the process of it being constructed.
The web pages for the Welsh Wildlife Centre have also been updated and we are listing events here as well as in our calendar.
Do come along and experience all the centre and reserve have to offer, a great day out for everyone!
