Volunteer Evening at The Welsh Wildlife Centre

Tuesday 21st May 2013 between 5.30-7.00pm.

We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help with Events throughout the year and to assist in the Visitor Centre at weekends.
The annual events programme, which is integral to supporting the work of the Wildlife Trust of South and West Wales, is dependent upon the valuable contributions of volunteers. Volunteers assist with indoor and outdoor activities including wildlife and seasonally themed arts &crafts, making bird feeders, willow weaving, pond dipping and bug hunts to name a few. All of which serve to enhance the visitors experience and raise awareness about the Trust’s work.

We have an enthusiastic and friendly team of dedicated volunteers that are invaluable to manning the front desk in the visitor centre. This team enhances the visitor’s experience of the centre and reserve by advising on the walks, answering enquiries, recording visitor sightings and performing shop duties. This is a fun and engaging volunteer role requiring only a few hours at the weekends. There are opportunities to volunteer every weekend or to have a flexible rota.

Of equal importance is what you can gain from the experience as a volunteer.

“It is my opportunity to give something back to the community and to the Trust whilst enjoying meeting with the public and to work alongside people of like mind” Helen

Training and support are given for both volunteering roles.

Interested? Please call 01239 621600 and ask to speak to Jo or Sharon.
Or drop in to our coffee evening on Tuesday 21st May between 5.30-7.00pm at the Welsh Wildlife Centre for a chat and a chance to meet some volunteers.
