Summer Fun at the Welsh Wildlife Centre

Over the summer holiday, at the Welsh Wildlife Centre, we have an exciting range of outdoor nature activities and indoor craft events to keep you happy, whatever the weather.

Every Monday and Friday we have indoor arts & crafts activities suitable for all ages. Choose an item to paint and take away; we have lots of choice including money boxes, insect homes, bird feeders, plant pots and much more.

Tuesdays is shelter building day so you can practise survival skills by learning how to make a safe structure. Suitable for ages 6+

Wednesdays are Pond Dipping Days; we’ll be searching for beasts that live in and around the pond! Find out about the amazing lives of the creatures that lurk beneath the water and inhabit the pond margins.

Every Thursday we will search for creatures in two different habitats on our Mini-beast Hunt to find out what fantastic beasts are lurking in the undergrowth and woodland floor. Discover carnivores, herbivores and detritivores and learn who eats who in the miniature jungle!

Daily activities run from 11am-12:30pm and 2pm-3:30pm and cost just £4 per child. Booking is highly recommended, please call 01239 621600 to reserve spaces.
Full details for these activities can be found on the Welsh Wildlife Centre Facebook page. The Welsh Wildlife Centre, including Glasshouse Café and Gift Shop is open every day from 10am-5pm.
