Welcome aboard Beth – our new Living Seas Engagement Officer!

We kicked off the New Year with a bang – and a new member of our Living Seas Wales team!

Beth Thompson

Beth Thompson, Living Seas Engagement Officer

Introducing Beth Thompson our new Living Seas Wales Engagement Officer based at the Cardigan Bay Marine Wildlife Centre in New Quay.

Beth had this to say:

Hi everyone - just a quick line to introduce myself! My name is Beth, and I’ve joined the team at CBMWC as the Living Seas Engagement Officer for 2020. I initially became involved here in 2018 on a three-month internship, having just graduated with a degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Oxford, but ended up sticking around for seven-months (I just enjoyed it too much to leave!). I’ve just returned to the UK, having spent nearly 11 months travelling, working and volunteering in New Zealand and Australia. The highlight of which would definitely be researching the bottlenose and humpback dolphin populations off Exmouth, Western Australia, with Flinders University! I’m super excited to get stuck in to the role, get to know everyone and of course, spend time by the sea!

We are delighted to have Beth on board!

Look out for her at our Living Seas events, more info here: https://www.welshwildlife.org/living-seas/
