Pre-school Mini-beast Special with Author Sarah Phelps

Join us at the Welsh Wildlife Centre on Friday 17th November between 1-3pm for a Pre-school special event.

We are delighted to welcome back, children’s author, Sarah Phelps as she reads her charming, rhyming story told from point of view of the mini-beasts.

Find out why they are sad and learn that by taking care of the little things, we also take care of the bigger things…like our beautiful planet!

After the story, we will head out on the Teifi Marshes Nature Reserve to explore the leaf litter with our People & Wildlife Officer, Gretchen. Discover real live mini-beasts and find out how and where they live and why they’re so important.

Returning to the visitor centre we will finish with mini-beast themed crafts and maybe  a song or two.
All this for just £5 per child.

Booking and pre-payment is essential, please email g.taylor@welshwildlife.org or ring 01239 621600 to book or if you have further questions about the event.

***Check out our webpage and Facebook page for further details and how to book.

The nature reserve and visitor centre are free to enter with just £4 to pay for all day parking. The reserve has a variety of trails to explore, many of which are accessible. There are bird hides to look out for the resident kingfishers and otters and a children’s natural play area for them to run off excess energy.

Dogs are welcome on the reserve if kept on leads and please do use the dog bins for disposing of dog waste.

After all this activity, why not visit The Glasshouse Café for delicious food and drinks? Seating is available indoors or outside overlooking our beautiful reed beds and woodland, stunning in their autumn colours.

Remember that any money you spend with us goes towards the conservation of precious habitats and maintaining the reserve.

Thank you for your support!
