Description

DESCRIPTION: Skomer is a fantastic destination for birdwatching and it regularly turns up some locally uncommon, scarce and rare birds. It also has the largest colony of Manx Shearwaters in the world, around 316,000 breeding pairs. Join Dave Astins of West Coast Birdwatching as you spend three days searching for the best birds Skomer has to offer. Dave is a renowned bird expert and has over 26 years of experience in Pembrokeshire and always makes sure you get the most out of your trip. Autumn on Skomer is a great time to witness migration in action and also to see the flocks of Buzzards and Ravens that soar overhead feeding on the young Manx Shearwaters which fledge under the cover of darkness.
