Description

DESCRIPTION: Skomer is a fantastic destination for birdwatching and it regularly turns up some locally uncommon, scarce and rare birds. It also has the largest colony of Manx Shearwaters in the world, around 350,000 breeding pairs. Join Dave Astins of West Coast Birdwatching as you spend three days searching for the best birds Skomer has to offer.

Dave is a renowned bird expert and has over 28 years of experience in Pembrokeshire and always makes sure you get the most out of your trip.

Autumn on Skomer is renowned for the passage of migrant birds as they head south for winter. Rare and scare birds are very often amongst these. It is also a great time to  see large flocks of ravens up close and in flight, stunning to watch their aerial acrobatics. Resident peregrine, buzzards and chough will be a familiar sight as well.
