Description

Want to get involved with Biodiversity? Like being outdoors with a challenge? Want a great educational but fun day out with the family? BioBlitz is a mammoth scale 24 hour research project, taking place all over Britain in different locations.

Its running  at Stackpole, from 11am on 21st July until 11am on Sunday 22nd July, where anyone can get directly involved by helping survey and monitor different species of flora and fauna. Children and families can get involved by taking part in the many fun and educational activities about Biodiversity. Why not join BioBlitz at Stackpole this year. During a BioBlitz event scientists and members of the public work together to survey a natural space; seeking, identifying and recording as many species as possible over 24 hours. It’s an amazing experience. Events from the Stackpole Centre include: Freshwater sampling, Otter spotting, Bat detecting, Moth trapping, Bush crafts and butterfly walks. Events from Stackpole Quay include: Rocky shore explore activities, plankton sampling and sein netting.
