Cardigan Bay Marine Wildlife Centre
Do you live locally to New Quay? Are you between 14 and 25 years old and interested in becoming involved in marine conservation?
As part of our Discovering Our Coasts project we’re giving you the chance to Become a Marine Biologist for the day on Tuesday 31st October, from 10:30am-2:30pm.
Join our Living Seas experts for a day of interactive workshops to discover the marine life of Cardigan Bay.
We’ll carry out a ShoreSearch survey, exploring the local rocky shore and monitoring seaweeds, crabs, anemones and much more. In the final session of the day we’ll carry out a Dolphin Watch survey from New Quay Harbour wall, hopefully spotting bottlenose dolphins, Atlantic grey seals or harbour porpoise. You’ll then help to process and map the data we collect.
