About the event

Filkin's Drift are back to lead our folk retreat in 2026, 16th-19th August!

Seth and Chris from Filkin’s Drift will lead a packed programme of workshops, from composition to small group playing, playing by ear to session tunes. The event is suitable for instrumentalists of any ability and no prior experience of folk music is necessary.

The natural world stirs emotions and inspires us, as does music. That’s why we think Skomer is the perfect place to blend the two with this retreat. You will have plenty of time to explore the island around the workshops.

This event is £320 plus an additional boat fee. Suitable for 12+ (under-16s must be accompanied). To book, please call the booking office on 01656 724100, Mon-Thurs, 9am-12pm and 1pm-4pm when booking opens on 8th December. Please email skomer.vo@welshwildlife.org with any queries.
