Shearwater Week is back in 2024 on the following dates:

We’re running three 2-night stays in the hostel to discover the secrets of the elusive Manx Shearwaters on Skomer. Meet our researchers for a talk and Q&A, see Manxie chicks being weighed, and join the island team for two walks - a night walk around the island looking at this elusive nocturnal birds and a dusk walk to see hundreds of thousands of rafting Shearwaters. A two-night stay not to be missed!

Mobility

Skomer Island is only accessible by a set of 87 steps from the landing stage. Most paths are flat with some steep sections. 

Please get in touch if you are unsure whether this event will be suitable for you.
