Today, 17 August 2022, saw the next stage of our plan to replace the old Crab Bay Puffin hide with something really rather exciting, funded by the Nature Networks Fund.
Autumn Migration 2024 is back on Saturday 14th September with a three night stay - £229 per person. Available to book from Monday 16th October.
Shearwater Week is back for 2024 with three 2 night sessions between 25.08.2024 and 31.08.2024 - £100/adult, £50/under-12.
Young Birders' Week is back for 18-25 year olds in 2024 with two 3 night sessions between 05.09.2024 and 11.09.2024 - £50/person (plus boat fee TBC).

In May, our hedgerows and woodland edges burst into life as Midland hawthorn erupts with masses of pinky-white blossom. During the autumn, red fruits known as 'haws' appear.
The Keeled skimmer is a dragonfly of heaths and commons with shallow pools. It has a skittish and weak flight, and is on the wing in summer and early autumn.
Sculptor, Stephanie Smith, is using her art to raise awareness and funds for Skomer Island’s seabirds.

The lesser-black backed gull can be spotted around the coast in summer, with the biggest colony on Walney Island, Cumbria. Look for it over fields, landfill sites and reservoirs during winter.
