Survey Observations

Our Living Seas volunteers carried out land surveys from 7am – 7pm yesterday. Following a slow start to the day, bottlenose dolphins were first sighted during the late morning, foraging around the headland, before moving back out of our survey area. Bottlenose dolphins were then spotted foraging again in the late afternoon, with one individual observed to be carrying out staying semi-motionless behaviour. Between dolphin sightings, our sea seal volunteer spotted a male Atlantic grey seal scanning and swimming close to the harbour wall.
