Survey Observations

Weather Conditions: Overcast, Wind Direction SE/S Sea State 1-3

During the two land surveys which were conducted yesterday, bottlenose dolphins remained in the bay almost continuously, actively foraging and chasing prey on the surface. Jacky and Jay were among the individuals which came to forage close to the harbour wall and hundreds of seabirds such as gannets were rafting, circling and diving above them. A female Atlantic grey seal was also sighted at midday, bottling in front of the pier.
