Over the school half term holidays, we have an exciting range of indoor and outdoor nature & craft activities to keep you happy, whatever the weather. Starting on 22nd February until 24th February activities are suitable for children aged 3+ (owl pellets 6+) and cost just £4 each.

Wednesday 22nd February

11:30am-12:30pm Bird Walk & Make a Feeder - identify birds around the reserve then make a suet bird feeder to take away for the birds in your garden.

1:30-3:30pm- Craft session- Come and paint a tea-light holder, bird/bug house, bird glider, wind chimes or hedgehog to take home.

Thursday 23rd February

11:30am-12:30pm Mini-beast Champions- discover what types of habitats mini-beasts need on our mini-beast hunt then make your own mini-beast home to take away.

1:30pm-3:30pm Animal Clay Modelling - art and crafts with a nature theme. Try your hand at creating a woodland creature using air-drying clay and natural materials.

Friday 24th February

11am- 12pm Owl Pellet Dissection. Come and learn about the owls that live here at Teifi Marshes Nature Reserve. Find out what they eat by dissecting an owl pellet and matching the bones found within. All equipment and guides provided. Suitable for age 6 to adults. **Limited places available so book early.

1:30-3:30pm- Upcycling/ Junk Modelling event where you can let your imagination run wild and transform every day ‘junk’ into something fresh, funky and/or useful!

My Tree, Our Forest

In association with the Woodland Trust & Welsh Government, we will be acting as a tree distribution hub for the My Tree, Our Forest scheme from Wednesday 22nd February-Friday 31st March between 10am-3:30pm. If you live in Wales, come and collect your free tree any Wednesday, Thursday or Friday.

 

All proceeds from the events, shop, café and car park help us in our conservation efforts. We hope that you enjoy your visit, please remember to follow all signage, respect the staff and volunteers and keep dogs on leads at all times.
