Many supporters tell us they want to see the impact of their generosity first-hand. They want to play a more active role in helping wildlife recover. They want to know exactly how their gift is making a difference and see the progress of the projects they support.
My role, working across the five Welsh Wildlife Trusts, is to help make those opportunities possible. It is a privilege to talk with people who care deeply about nature. I work to connect their passions with projects that can deliver lasting benefits for wildlife, climate and local communities.
Thanks to the generosity of supporters, we are already seeing incredible results. In South and West Wales, major donors have supported volunteers on Skomer and Skokholm Island. Their gifts have helped to ensure more young people can gain the skills, experience and confidence needed to begin a career in conservation. Across Wales, support is helping to secure and restore three new nature reserves and investment in learning, youth and volunteering programmes is inspiring the next generation of nature lovers.
These achievements show what is possible when people choose to invest in nature today.
If you are interested in exploring how a larger gift could help create a wilder future for Wales, I would be delighted to have an informal chat. I'd love to hear what inspires your passion for nature and discuss how you could help make an even greater difference.
