We're lucky to have beautiful coastlines, magnificent mountains and wonderful woodlands in South & West Wales. Here our 5 top places to take on the Big Big Walk and raise money for Welsh wildlife. 

 

1. Pengelli Forest

Autumn is a great time to explore our Celtic rainforest in Pembrokeshire! There are plenty of trails through the woodland. Look out for fantastic ferns, moss and lichen!

2. Allt Rhongyr

Go for a wild wander at this beautiful Brecknock reserve! Located within the Brecon Beacons National Park, this reserve offers stunning views of Tawe Valley. It's a great reserve to spot fungi and admire ancient trees.

3. Red Squirrel Trail in Mid-Wales

Join Iolo Williams for an audio adventure! Explore our new Red Squirrel Trail through the beautiful Tywi Forest and beyond! Our audio tour, narrated by Welsh naturalist and presenter Iolo Williams, will guide you along the route. You can listen along as you walk to learn about the area and our Mid-Wales Red Squirrel Project

4.  Brynna Woods

Go for walk through this wonderful woodland reserve! The two circular walks will guide you around the ash, oak, willow and hazel woodland mixed. Dormice, though seldom seen, are found on the reserve - look out for the remains of Hazel nuts with their characteristic teeth marks.

5. Penderi Cliffs

Explore Ceredigion's coastal path and stop off at this unique reserve. Look out for Grey seals and Bottlenose dolphins!
