Pwll y Wrach reserve update

Here's Stephanie Coates, our Wildlife Trust Officer with an update on our Brecknock reserves and work party activities.

In Ystradgynlais we have had a couple of parties pulling and cutting balsam including a training event.  Local volunteer Andrew G has been doing extra balsam pulling and found other areas to manage outside of the reserve.

There is a marked improvement on the dense areas cut last year but we would welcome more local volunteers from both sides of the border to help us with this in the future.

We have also been working on Pwll y Wrach putting in new post and rail above the waterfall drop.

For Ash Dieback we installed a sign and made the path diversion more appealing by fixing the steps and strimming.

We also need more local volunteers throughout the year at this site for work parties 1-2ce month.

If you are interested in joining the volunteer work parties at Brecknock, please contact Stephanie Coates on s.coates@welshwildlife.org to sign up.
