How many nature reserves can you visit before 31st March 2018?
Nikki was a committed member of The Wildlife Trust of South and West Wales and a dedicated and hard working committee member for the local group in South Pembrokeshire. When she died earlier this year the local group committee decided to organise a special event in memory for our special friend by getting people to visit as many reserves as possible in the coming months and to raise money for the Wildlife Trust as Nikki would have wished.
The Trust has 12 reserves you can visit in Pembrokeshire and many more across south and west Wales. The Challenge is not limited to these reserves – you can visit other reserves anywhere – the only limitation is you cannot fly as part of your journey – Nikki hated flying. There will be a small prize for the person (or family) visiting the most reserves and for the most distant reserve.
Each time you visit a nature reserve you can prove your visit by taking a photograph of an interpretation panel or entrance sign showing the reserves name. Email this to email@example.com with your name and the date of the visit. Take a photo of anything of interest on the reserves as well and we will put together a presentation of the best at our AGM next April. To complete your entry please make a donation to Wildlife Trust of South & West Wales or bring a cheque along to one of our monthly meetings – on the third Tuesday of each month between September and March.
