Yes!!! We are Finally Good to Go!

We are delighted to announce that after 4 months of being closed, two of our Wildlife Trust Visitor Centres will once again open their doors to visitors!

The Welsh Wildlife Centre

The Welsh Wildlife Centre, Cilgerran will open on Wednesday 29th July from 10am until 4pm. The centre will be introducing reduced hours and open every Wednesday to Sunday. The centre will be closed every Monday and Tuesday (except Bank Holiday Monday). There are a few new changes to how visitors will access the centre and available facilities…

  • No vehicle access allowed (expect staff and deliveries) past the main car park.
  • All access to the Visitor Centre will be via the Explorer Trail from the main visitor car park, this includes disabled access.
  • The lower ground floor of the Visitor Centre will be closed to visitors.
  • Inside the Visitor Centre there is a new one way system and social distancing markers to follow for your protection.
  • We are operating the Track, Trace and Protect system at WWC. You will be asked to provide your contact details when you place an order. These will be stored following GDPR guidelines.
  • Access to the Glasshouse Café will be via an external pathway.
  • We will be offering a limited takeaway menu in the Glasshouse Café with ample external seating. In August we are able to offer socially distanced indoor seating also.
  • Toilets and baby changing will be open on the middle floor of the Visitor Centre only. The facilities will be cleaned more frequently but we ask visitors to take responsibility for their own health and hygiene.
  • The lift will not be in operation in line with government guidelines on enclosed spaces.
  • Our shop will not be open during this initial phase.
  • We are encouraging visitors to pay by card if possible.
  • Our Oak Tree Cottage self-catering accommodation is open for bookings!
  • Our children’s play remains closed.

Parc Slip Visitor Centre

Parc Slip Visitor Centre and Car Park, Tondu will open on Tuesday 28th July from 10am until 4pm. The centre will be introducing reduced hours and open every Tuesday to Saturday.

  • The main car park will open to visitors. Parking in front of the Visitor Centre is for staff and deliveries only.
  • Inside the Visitor Centre there is a new one way system and social distancing markers to follow for your protection. Please observe these at all times.
  • We are operating the Track, Trace and Protect system at Parc Slip Visitor Centre. You will be asked to provide your contact details when you place an order. These will be stored following GDPR guidelines.
  • We will be offering a limited takeaway menu in the Parc Slip Café with ample external seating including our new covered picnic shelter. In August we are able to offer socially distanced indoor seating too.
  • We are encouraging visitors to pay by card if possible.
  • Visitor toilets with baby changing station will be open. They will be cleaned more frequently but we ask visitors to take responsibility for their own health and hygiene.

As always, we ask visitors to respect and adhere to social distancing guidelines and show respect to our staff and other users to the centres and reserves. Please keep dogs on leads at all times. Please use the litter bins provided or take rubbish home with you.
