Work Experience

We can offer one week work experience placements for school or college pupils (aged 14-17) from the west Wales area.

Work experience students on a Seashore Safari

Whether this is a formal part of your curriculum or you wish to gain first-hand experience of marine conservation and research, we welcome your application. These placements are ideally suited to those interested and looking to gain experience in: environmental sciences, maths, ICT or education.

Tasks Include:

  • Land based marine mammal surveys
  • Boat based surveys (subject to parental/school approval and weather conditions)
  • Helping in our visitor centre and gift shop, providing information to visitors
  • Helping with engagement events such as rock pooling
  • Beach cleans

All tasks are fully risked assessed and we have appropriate insurance to cover all activities.

Please fill in a CBMWC Work Experience form and email it to volunteer@cbmwc.org Forms must be filled out by the candidate, not parents or guardians. A reference from a teacher will need to be sent to the same email address.
