Our Living Seas volunteers conducted surveys from 7am-7pm yesterday. 11 Bottlenose dolphins were seen from the harbour wall throughout the day. The dolphins were seen travelling through the bay, chasing fish close to the harbour, and one was seen with a fish in its mouth.

One of our Living seas volunteers conducted a 2 hour boat survey on board the Anna Lloyd. They observed 10 bottlenose dolphins foraging, leaping and tail slapping.

Our Living Seas volunteers conducted land surveys on the harbour wall from 9am-5pm yesterday. It was a busy day for the dolphins as they were seen throughout the day travelling, foraging and splashing around right in front of the wall.

Three volunteers conducted an all day boat survey on board the Anna Lloyd with Dolphin Survey Boat Trips. It was a busy survey as they had 13 separate encounters of both bottlenose dolphins and Atlantic Grey Seals. The dolphins were seen leaping right in front of the boat. Altogether they spotted 33 dolphins and 3 Atlantic grey seals.

Our Living Seas volunteers conducted land surveys from 7am-5pm yesterday. It was a quiet day for the dolphins in the New Quay bay as Bottlenose dolphins were spotted in only three of the surveys, where they were seen travelling and foraging around the bay.

Two Living Seas volunteers conducted two hour boat surveys aboard the Anna Lloyd. They observed 3 Bottlenose Dolphins foraging and leaping, as well as an Atlantic grey seal.

Our #LivingSeas volunteers were busy conducting surveys from 7am-5pm out on the harbour wall yesterday. Bottlenose dolphins were out in the bay until 3pm, where they were seen foraging, leaping and splashing about!. Among these dolphins were a mother and her calf.

Our Living Seas volunteers conducted surveys from 7am-7pm yesterday. Bottlenose dolphins were seen periodically throughout the day. Groups of dolphins were observed foraging and travelling, and they were also seen tail slapping and leaping out of the water.

Two boat surveys were conducted on board the Anna Lloyd with Dolphin Survey Boat Trips. A total of 11 Bottlenose Dolphins and 9 Atlantic Grey Seals were spotted throughout both trips. The bottlenose dolphins were seen leaping and foraging and the Atlantic grey seals were seen bottling in the water.

Our Living Seas volunteers conducted surveys from 7am-5pm in the beautiful sunshine yesterday. Bottlenose dolphins were seen intermittently, travelling and foraging in the bay. In the 7am survey, a mother and a juvenile were spotted foraging out near the cardinal marker.

The only dolphin sighting yesterday was at 7am when a juvenile was seen travelling east across the bay. During the following survey an Atlantic grey seal was seen off the headland.

Dolphins were spotted in the afternoon foraging offshore between the headland and the Cardinal buoy. Eight individuals were identified including one juvenile. A female Atlantic grey seal was also observed swimming in front of the harbour wall
