Could beavers return to the River Teifi or River Cleddau?

The Welsh Beaver Project is investigating the feasibility of bringing European beavers (Castor fiber) back to Wales after an absence of around 600 years and the River Teifi and River Cleddau are among the areas being considered as release sites.

A public drop-in day will be held on 22nd August at the Welsh Wildlife Centre in Cilgerran (1.00pm – 8.00pm) to enable local people to meet the Project team, learn more about  beaver reintroduction and give feedback.

Presentations on beavers will be given and leaflets & booklets will be available to take home.
