Skomer Island 2015

After a fantastic season which saw some great new happenings on the island we have started planning for next year.

If you are a member don’t forget you can start booking your stays on the island from October 6th, if you aren’t why not join us now? Not only do you get the priority booking but you also get the chance to protect your local wildlife, land on Skomer Island free, park at the Welsh Wildlife Centre free and much more.

It is possible to sign up to our Skomer Island e-newsletter for the latest happenings on the island, and what is happening in the future! We won’t be sending many in the year but this way you won’t miss out on the latest events and happenings.

Our Monday walks will give you exclusive access to visit Skomer on a day normally closed to visitors, with expert guidance. An Air of Mystery about the Island

We launched our new Discovery and Mystery Trails this summer. They were really popular with our younger visitors. They were such a big success with people of all sizes that we are running them again through 2015! Keep an eye on our website. And don’t forget that the puffins are around to delight everyone until the end of July!

Family activities will run every Wednesday, ranging from moth trapping to bug hunts and more. Free, just turn up and get involved.

Stay on the island for two nights and meet our Manx Shearwaters. You’ll have a night time guided walk, talks from researchers and meet the shearwater chicks the following afternoon. Plus there’ll be plenty of free time to enjoy the island and all the rest of its wildlife.

£70 per adult/£30 children. Two night minimum stay. Last arrival 5th September, leaving 7th.

September is History Month

Explore Skomer’s past with free guided walks on the 5th and 19th. Booking recommended, maximum 20 people per walk.
