We have some very exciting events happening on Skomer Island with the chance to the see the island in a whole new way.

We have an exclusive guided walk around Skomer Island on the 2nd June (now fully booked) and on the Monday the 16th June and Monday 7th July, with only 15 places available. It will be happening on a Monday – which  is when the island is usually shut to visitors giving you the chance to have the island pretty much to yourself.

The walk will be led by Wildlife Trust staff and it’s your chance to learn the secrets of the island.

£40 per person

Boat leaves Martin’s Haven at 08.30 and return from Skomer 15.00.

Another exciting new opportunity is a couple of days guided bird watching on the island Sunday September 14th to Tuesday September 16th. Staying overnight is one of the best ways to see the island and in the company of expert Dave Astins of West Coast Birdwatching, you will have expert advice on bird ID, track down rare autumn migrants and enjoy the spectacular island landscape, returning “chough-ed” each night to the self catering hostel.

Manx Shearwater Week

Manx shearwaters are one of the most spectacular of the islands inhabitants and yet they are never seen by the day visitor. The birds return to the island by the thousands at night with their incredible calls filling the night sky.

So join us over Manx Shearwater Week  August 20th to the 27th and watch the chicks leave their nest and take their first flight, see some of the cutting edge research in action and there will be talks nightly about this long distance seafarers. Normal booking prices apply.
