Lyndon Lomax is a member of one of the Local Groups and organises regular boat trips for people to experience our local marine wildlife. All the proceeds raised from Lyndon's boat trips go towards the vital conservation work done by The Wildlife Trust of South and West Wales.
Here's what Lyndon had to say about how this season went...
This year we had four Marine Wildlife Watching Boat trips planned departing from Neyland on board 'Celtic Wildcat'. The weather allowed us to go on three of the dates planned. Both Section, Trust members and non members were treated to an interesting and wide cross section of Marine Wildlife. On all trips we saw good numbers of Common dolphin and spent time watching the only Gannet colony in Wales at Grassholm. On all trips we saw much and varied bird life including the tiny Storm petrels (50+ on one trip) Shearwaters, Gulls, Auks, etc and on one trip Great shearwater and Cory's shearwater which are both National rarities. Add to this Jellyfish, Sunfish, Pembrokeshire Islands and Lighthouses all amounted to memorable trips. We are planning more trips for 2017 so please 'watch this space'
