Let your imagination run wild this summer holidays and join us for a fun packed Island Adventure.
Skomer Island in Pembrokeshire will be launching its two brand new family trails with a story telling event to introduce you to our wonderful Island Friends – the wildlife characters who live on Skomer! Then depending on how big your little people are you can choose from our whole island Discovery Trail or our shorter Mystery Trail to explore this fascinating island.
Every Wednesday throughout August we will be running a children’s island activity session at 11am. Bug hunts, nature rambles, rockpools and picnics – it’s all happening on Skomer!
But we’re saving the best till last…
Join us for a truly unique experience and stay overnight in our 3 star Visit Wales accredited hostel for Shearwater Week. We are inviting visitors to join us during the 20th and 27th August and witness the first flights of our Manx Shearwater chicks. These incredible birds will emerge at night from their burrows and take the first steps on a journey that will end in Argentina. Every night in Shearwater week will include a talk and a guided night time walk and it’s only £30 for adults and half price for children.
The Wildlife Trust of South and West Wales and Dale Sailing are offering a special discount in August: free children’s boat tickets with every adult ticket purchased. So a family of two adults and two children will save £14 on visiting the island!
