On site alone there are a whole host of adventures to be had, whether it is; exploring the Teifi Marshes nature reserve on foot, by bike or even by canoe, having a lot of fun in the adventure playground, eating a spectacular lunch at the Welsh Wildlife Centre’s cafe, using one of our explorer backpacks to appreciate the reserve from a new perspective or simply picnicking looking out over Cardigan.
But we appreciate that you want to get out and explore the area. Cilgerran is a stones throw from Oak Tree Cottage, it has a stunning castle, two pubs and a couple of shops where you can get your basics.
A short walk across the reserve (on board walks and paths) and you reach the town of Cardigan with craft shops and galleries, theatres and pubs. A lovely place to spend the day mooching around the shops. From honey farms to health clubs, there is something to do regardless of the weather.
If you fancy a bit more of an adventure then there are activities such as coasteering and canoeing with our neighbours at Fforest, boat trips, dolphin watching, sailing and so much more.
The area is also great for walking and exploring, whether you follow the Teifi upstream and experience its waterfalls or find some more of our nature reserves.
