About the event

Cors Fochno is the international 'type locality' first used to define an 'estuarine raised mire'. NRW Land Manager Justin Lyons will lead us on a safe route (2km, wellies essential) to look at its bog flora such as insectivorous plants (Bladderwort, Butterwort and 3 Sundews), 16 Sphagnum species, Bog Myrtle, Water Plantain, Celery-leaved Buttercup, Bog Asphodel, and Ceredigion's County Flower Bog Rosemary. Fauna include the rare Rosy Marsh Moth, various Warblers and wetland birds such as Snipe and Redshank.
