About the event

Join our expert local guides on a FREE two hour cruise along the Milford Haven waterway and out to see our beauitful islands. Due to the steps and rough terrain of Skomer and Skokholm, access is not possible for many people. This opportunity is designed for disabled people and carers/ companions. It is a chance to enjoy the islands’ spectacular seabirds and geology. You may even spot some dolphins or seals along the way! One ticket will cover one disabled person and a carer/companion.

Our Accessible Boat Trips are running on the following dates:

  • Monday 2 June 11:00 - 13:30
  • Wednesday, 18 June 11:00 - 13:30

  • Friday, 20 June 13:00 - 15:30

  • Tuesday, 1 July 11:30 - 14:00

  • Friday, 4 July 12:30 - 15:00
  • Wednesday 16 July 11:45 - 14:15

Cruises last for two hours and are limited to ten visitors per boat. The boat leaves from Dale, where there are disabled parking spots, a floating pontoon and wheelchair access to the boat. Disabled toilet and changing facilities are available at the embarkation point. There is no disabled toilet on the boat.

These trips are weather-dependent, and for the safe boarding of passengers with mobility requirements, the sailing may be cancelled on the day if conditions are not calm. Our aim is to visit at least one of the Islands, most likely Skokholm Island, if the conditions allow.

This series of events is a trial as part of our efforts to make the islands more accessible. We will be collecting feedback about every stage of the process to allow us to learn and improve.

These trips are fully funded in 2025 thanks to support from the Nature Networks Programme. This grant is being delivered by the Heritage Fund, on behalf of the Welsh Government. These trips are supported by the Friends of Skokholm and Skomer, a local group of The Wildlife Trust of South and West Wales.

To register your interest, please click here to complete our online form. Spaces will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis, with consideration given to individual requirements. We will contact you after the 19th May 2025 to confirm your booking. Please do not call Pembrokeshire Islands to book.
