With nearly 350,000 breeding pairs of Manx Shearwaters, over 40,000 Puffins, thousands of Guillemots, Razorbills and Kittiwakes and hundreds of Fulmars, Skomer is an internationally important seabird island. 
It is also located less than a mile off the beautiful Pembrokeshire coast making it a great place to visit for the day or stay overnight.

Want to explore Skomer on one of our events? From Shearwater Week to arts events and yoga, we have something for everyone. 

Events

Keen to land your own boat? You are able to land on Skomer 10:00am - 12:30pm and 14:30pm - 17:00pm, Tuesday - Sunday, from April to August. Please note that in September we are closed to all day visitors and private landers on Fridays. No landings can take place from October to April.

Accessibility & Inclusivity on Skomer Island

Commercial Trips

From 2026, we cannot allow overnight commercial trips to Skomer Island. However, you are free to bring paying guests on day trips to the island. There is no priority booking for these and day trips can be booked from the first week of December. Parties of 6 and under can be booked online. Groups of over 6 can be booked on the phone with Pembrokeshire Islands.
