We are delighted to announce that two of our Wildlife Trust Visitor Centre Cafes will remain open and offer a TAKEAWAY SERVICE only during the 'firebreak' period, from Saturday 24th October. We will be continuing to operate the Track, Trace and Protect system at both Visitor Centre Cafes and we are encouraging visitors to pay by card if possible.

So, if you're local to either our Welsh Wildlife Centre or Parc Slip Visitor Centre and plan on excerising on the nature reserves then we'll be there to keep you hydrated and energy levels up with our delicious takeaway service. 🙂

The Glasshouse Cafe at The Welsh Wildlife Centre

Our Glasshouse Cafe, Cilgerran will remain open during the firebreak period. We will be open at 10am - 4pm every Wednesday to Sunday and closed every Monday and Tuesday.

There are few changes to how visitors will access our Glasshouse Cafe and place their takeaway order....

  • Takeaway food will be served between 11.30am - 2.30pm.
  • One person per family group to enter the Glasshouse Cafe to order takeaway food and drink.
  • Please wear a mask at all times when in the Visitor Centre Cafe.
  • Toilets and baby chanaging facilities will be open on the middle floor of the Visitor Centre.
  • The lift will be in operation however we do ask that you liaise with the Duty Manager before each use.
  • All access to the Glasshouse Cafe will be via the Explorer Trail from the main visitor car park. This inlcludes disabled access.
  • The lower ground floor of the Visitor Centre will remain closed.
  • Please adhere to our strict social distancing rules and follow the one way system to place your takeaway order.
  • Our childrens pay area will remain open during this period.

Parc Slip Visitor Centre Cafe

Our Parc Slip Cafe, Tondu will also remain open during the firebreak period. We will be open at 10am - 4pm every Wednesday to Sunday and closed every Monday and Tuesday.

  • Takeaway food will be served between 11am - 3pm.
  • One person per family group to enter the Parc Slip Cafe to order takeaway food and drink.
  • Please wear a mask at all times when in the Cafe.
  • Toilets and baby chanaging facilities will be closed. This will be reviewed on a regular basis by management.
  • The main car park will remain open. Parking at the front of the Visitor Centre is for staff only.
  • Once inside the Visitor Centre Cafe please adhere to the new one way system and social distancing markers.

We continue to ask our visitors to respect and adhere to social distancing guidelines and show espect to our dedicated staff and volunteers. Please keep dogs on leads at all times. Please us the litter bins provided or take any rubbish home with you.
