Cardiff Local Group 4

The Cardiff Group of the Trust holds indoor meetings, approximately once a month, in the Wallace Lecture Theatre (0.13) of Cardiff University.

Indoor meetings are normally on a Thursday evening and usually start in late September or early October and run through to the following April.

In the summer months, we focus on outdoor field trips, usually to wildlife sites close to Cardiff, but occasionally including longer coach trips, often in conjunction with the Bridgend group.

In fact, we cooperate extensively with several other local wildlife groups and our indoor meetings are run jointly with Cardiff University’s Wildlife Conservation Society (WildSoc) and we normally have a number of joint meetings each year with the Cardiff Naturalist’s Society.

We maintain our own website which shows the forthcoming programme and includes other relevant information about the group.

Our meetings are open to any members of the public: you don’t need to be a member of the Trust to come along, but obviously we would hope that you will decide to join the Trust in order to help protect South Wales’ wildlife
