Fishing is particularly important to many coastal communities around south west Wales.
Cardigan Bay Marine Wildlife Centre, our marine group based in Ceredigion, engages with their local fishing communities on a regular basis. Across Wales and through the WEL marine campaign, we are working with fishermen and decision makers at a national level to influence the development of fisheries management in Wales for the future.
Truly sustainable fishing will not only support Living Seas but protect this culturally important industry for local communities in the future.
Our Future Fisheries project aims to champion a low impact, profitable fishing industry in Wales whilst securing Living Seas where marine wildlife thrives.
