Ynglŷn â'r digwyddiad

Richard Ellis worked as a countryside manager for the National Trust for 33 years, first in Northern Ireland and then in Pembrokeshire. He initially went to Northern Ireland in 1979 as the RSPB’s Species Protection Officer, with responsibility for peregrines. He moved to Pembrokeshire in 1992. Since retirement, he and Richard Crossen have monitored the breeding peregrines in a working quarry close to his home, the most consistently successful site in the county. His talk covers not only the lives of the peregrines, but also the dramatic changes the quarry has gone through and the challenges this has presented both to the birds and to the long-term study.
