Could you be a Welsh Wildlife Hero?

WWH_Partner_Logo_Final“Welsh Wildlife Heroes” is a major new project, between The Co-operative Group in Wales and Wildlife Trusts in Wales, established to deliver a programme of activities in Wales using the proceeds raised in The Co-operative’s Food and Pharmacy businesses as a result of the Welsh Government’s 5p Carrier Bag Levy.

Some £750,000 will be distributed across all six Wildlife Trusts in Wales, including ourselves, to boost a whole range of grassroots projects.

As part of the Welsh Wildlife Heroes project, we are asking all our members to make a pledge to do their bit for wildlife in Wales, by creating a wildlife haven in their back garden. You could make a pledge to do something as easy as feed the birds or planting wildflowers, or if you’re feeling a bit more adventurous, build (or buy) a bird or bat box to provide a home – or dig a pond! Take a look at our handy fact sheets on our wildlife gardening page and you’ll see how easy it is to do something for wildlife today.

Whatever you choose to do, get in touch and let us know how you’re getting on.

To make a pledge, simply complete our form or visit your nearest Co-operative store or us here at the Wildlife Trust of South and West Wales.
