Join the Bridgend Group to walk the stunning Carmel Nature Reserve, led by Wildlife Trust Officer Ceri Evans
This is the sequel to our visit last year when we saw the spring plants in the wooded parts of this extensive reserve. This time we will look at the plants of the meadows in late summer. This is a joint trip with the Swansea Local Group
Time: 9:30/10:30am – 12.30pm
Travel arrangements: EITHER make your own way to the reserve, aiming to arrive by 10.30 am,
OR meet at Parc Slip at 9.30 am for detailed directions and to share cars.
The reserves lies 5 miles south of Llandeilo, straddling the A476 Cross Hands-Llandeilo trunk road. There is a small Council-owned car park on the right-hand side of the road at grid reference SN590 157 (signposted by a brown nature reserve sign).
Clothing requirements: Wear walking shoes and suitable outdoor clothing. Bring a packed lunch.
Accessibility and Conditions: The walk may be rough or steep in places so please wear suitable sturdy footwear.
