DESCRIPTION: Join professional Welsh photographer and lecturer, Andy Davies, for an unforgettable stay on Skomer Island. Opportunities for capturing memorable images abound at this UK wildlife hotspot and Andy will always be on hand to guide you the best locations at the optimum times and to help with a wide variety of techniques.
September is the time when the Atlantic grey seals are having their pups on the many coves around the island and there is mass influx of ravens. We will also have the opportunity to witness the Manx shearwaters returning after nightfall and the chicks fledging.

CLOTHING REQUIREMENTS: Sturdy footwear and warm waterproof clothing.
PHOTOGRAPHY EQUIPMENT: Compact, bridge or DSLR cameras with interchangeable lenses. Suitable lenses include a wide angle, macro and lenses with focal lengths between 200mm (for DX sensors) to 300mm (for FX sensors) are good. Longer focal lengths of 400mm to 500mm are good for the razorbills and guillemots. These can be achieved by using a good quality teleconverter. Please ensure that batteries are fully charged.
