Join us for a two night stay on Skomer Island to meet our Manx Shearwaters. Although the island is famous for Puffins, we are home to half the worlds population of “Manxies” and by late August the chicks will be ready to leave their burrows and take flight to South America.
We will have several events over the course of your stay including meeting a manxie chick (they are very cute and fluffy!) as they have their daily weigh-in. You’ll be invited to our daily “Birdlog” event and meet the wardens. But the real highlight is the evening talk given by our research team who study the birds, followed by a night time guided walk through the incredibly noisey and active Shearwater colonies.
You cannot do this anywhere else in the world!
Two nights costs £70 for adults, £30 for under-16s.
Book early to avoid disappointment and to make sure you can experience a truly world class wildlife spectacle.
Oh and there’ll probably be some seal pups by then too…..
