Join us for the launch of the Green Connections Powys Project. Meet the team, network with like-minded people, and take part in walks and activities.
The Green Connections Project is a cross-Powys, multi-Trust endeavor to create a nature recovery network across the County! If you want to find out more, meet the teams behind this project, network with other community groups, organisations, or like-minded individuals, or simply take part in the walks and demonstrations we have on offer, then come on down and take part!
Taking place on the King George V Sportsfield in Talgarth, this event will run from 10am until 2pm, with a detailed itinerary listed below:
10:00 – Green Connections launch
10:30-14:00 – Network with the GC team, community groups, land management organisations and more…
11:00 – Pollinator walk around Talgarth with Phil the Bugman
12:00 – Scything demonstration
13:30 – Habitat network walk
Additional note: The walk events at 11:00 and 13:30 are limited to 15 people each. Bookings can be made on the day.
Light refreshments will be available throughout the duration of the event. We hope to see you there!
Please park in the main Talgarth car park and walk through. Access A479 from the north end of the car park and head north. Cross A479 at the zebra crossing. Take the footpath straight ahead and pass the sensory garden. Turn left onto Bowling Green Lane. The pavillion will appear in front of you and we will be based on the other side of it.
