Cardiff local group will be visiting the Ruperra Conservation Trust, which is a local community group that has been returning an area of conifer plantation to deciduous broad-leaved woodland. We will have a walk around the site, led by manager Sue Price, which will be a couple of miles in length and is fairly steep in places. After this there will be an opportunity to see the emergence of the colony of Greater Horseshoe bats at the nearby Ruperra castle. Meet at the Ruperra car park just outside Draethen (ST 228 871) at 7.30 pm. Please bring warm clothing and a torch.
