Description: Explore different fire making techniques and gathering tinder and material to successfully start a fire using the ‘V’ fire lay. Try your hand at Atlatl Dart throwing using practice bamboo darts (spears). The Atlatl & Dart was a deadly hunting and combat weapon that was by cultures universally long before the Bow & Arrow came into use.
Try your hand at Cordage making…or how to prepare the inner bark of willow and the stem fibres of nettles to make strong primitive string or learn how to tie some essential ‘quick release’ knots for a woodland survival shelter…learn how to identify a number of trees and what their uses are in bush craft.
