Join our volunteers at Parc Slip for some hands-on conservation work, fresh air and exercise and good company.
Himalayan balsam is an invasive non-native species that shades out native wildflowers and erodes riverbanks, as well as causing other issues for UK wildlife. Luckily it is easy to pull out, so come along and help us remove this invader, and keep Parc Slip full of lovely native wildlife.
Meeting Place: Parc Slip Wildlife Trust Visitor Centre
Clothing Requirements: We will be working outside so please wear weather appropriate clothing, sturdy waterproof shoes/wellies, and bring some water. Bring gloves if you have any.
Accessibility: We may have to work in areas of the nature reserve where there is thick vegetation and access is difficult. It recommended that you wear trousers and long sleeves to protect your skin.
