MEETING PLACE: The gate at the Western edge of Brynna woods and Llanharan marsh nature reserve, near the new naturally woodlands houses.
AGE RANGE: Not suitable for pushchairs
DESCRIPTION: Conservation work party to tackle the invasive Indian (Himalayan) balsam on the Nature Reserve. The control of invasive species is very important in conservation and the more people who can help the better. If you would like to come and help, even if you can only come for an hour, please join us, the more the merrier!
Please wear suitable clothes and wellies or walking boots.
ACCESSIBILITY AND CONDITIONS: This event may involve some walking to reach the area of the reserve where we will be working. In some places the ground may be rough and boggy. We will be manually pulling the balsam which is very easy due to the shallow roots, and so this can be very therepeutic! May involve some bending down to reach the plants.
