Recording wildlife at Parc Slip

A bumblebee mimic hoverfly on a purple thistle flower. It's a fuzzy black and yellow hoverfly with a white tip to the abdomen, looking just like a bee. It's given away by its large eyes and short antennae

About the event

As part of Wales Nature Week we are running four walks around Parc Slip. You will be learning about the variety of birds, wildflowers, mammals or insects found on site and how to record them. Learning how to record means you can do your part in helping to conserve local wildlife.

To sign up head to our Eventbrite where you can book onto one event or more if you fancy!

Parking is available in the Miniature Railway across the road from 9am-3pm for attendees. Please show your confirmation booking email on arrival to the staff at the Miniature Railway. This parking is not open to the general public.

This project is funded by the Nature Networks Programme. It is being delivered by the Heritage Fund, on behalf of the Welsh Government.
